Super JG Award
A special pin type award will be presented to each Junior Grange member who meets the following requirements:
_____ 1. Repeat the Junior Grange Pledge to a qualified person.
_____ 2. Demonstrate the following to a qualified person: Junior grip; Salutation accompanied by correct language of the Salutation; voting sign, and use of the gavel.
_____ 3. Draw a floor plan of the Grange meeting room, placing the Altar, flag, cloth and all of the officer stations.
_____ 4. Explain the procedures used in opening and closing the Grange: Opening the Bible, flag presentation and retiring; retiring the emblem.
_____ 5. Explain the procedure for presenting a motion.
_____ 6. Create a Lecturer’s program and present it at a meeting or special event. The program should be about 10 minutes long. Attach a copy of the program to this application for the Award.
_____ 7. Enter at least two State sponsored Junior Grange contests within the past year; OR secure a new member for the Junior Grange.
_____ 8. Score at least 85% on the Super JG written quiz on Grange history, Junior Manual, and general knowledge of the Junior Grange programs. Quiz is developed by the National Grange and is available from the State Grange Junior Director.
