Happy New Year!!!

Welcome to a New Year and one that will be full of Junior Grange opportunities. I have enclosed in this mailing a copy of the 2007 National Junior Grange Program. I think you will find lots of opportunities for your Junior Grangers to participate in. Please take a look at the program guide and take advantage of the all of the opportunities that will be available this year for you and your Juniors.

  • Let’s get exercising--A program geared to encourage our Juniors to participate in a regular exercise program. This could be a Junior Grange activity or a camp activity.
  • National Creative Art Contest--Draw a picture of yourself on an 81/2 x 11 piece of paper and then draw around the picture of yourself all the food you like to eat.
  • National Creative Writing Contest--Theme: What can you do to keep yourself healthy?
  • Junior Grange Regional Public Speaking Contest and 1 st place winners invited to attend the National Grange Convention in 2007.
  • And much more!!

Thank You!!

A Big thanks goes to Illinois for hosting our Junior Grange Activities at the National Grange Convention. What a great time we had. We started on Thursday night with a pajama party and get-acquainted activities. Our days at the Convention were filled with tours, projects, and learning more about Junior Grange. I really think that the Junior Grange Activities Days at the National Grange Convention are a wonderful way to motivate and inspire our Juniors. Just a little note: my five children (of six, one is only 2) attended the Convention this year. They are still talking about all that they learned, the friends that they made, and the experiences that they had. We told them before we went that this would be part of their Christmas gift this year. I know that attending the Convention is very expensive, but you know every cent we spent was well worth it. I truly believe that we gave them the very best gift this Christmas-- the gift of Junior Grange. Parents and Grandparents please consider taking your children and grandchildren to the Convention. We are all very fortunate to belong to such a wonderful organization that is for every family member. Grange has something for everyone. Next year please consider giving the gift of Grange to your children and grandchildren. What a difference it will make to you and to them. I think it may just inspire you also.

Winners, Winners we have the Winners!!
